I enjoy the ceaseless awareness of design and nuance in the everyday happenstance of life. The natural phenomena around us is fascinating and perhaps, not as random as it seems. Art is a gift which serves it's own behalf. That gift keeps opening, keeps giving, keeps nurturing, keep teaching, keeps demanding sacrifice: none of that can be quantified. There is no graduation. In the thick of it, there may not be anyone to even call. It is everything and nothing to write home about .
a b o u t
I've studied two-d art at a number of universities/colleges and completed my Masters in Communication Arts recently. During completion of my Masters in Criminal Justice (earlier), I chose ethnographic projects for my master's projects. I am fascinated with ethnography as a blend of my passions for writing, sociology, and photography.

As a painter, I work in large format contemporary / color field paintings. I have been painting a long time, but have only kept my paintings in the last several years. I don't think of myself as an "emerging artist" for this reason. I am not well-known but
emerging to whom? In any case, I create in series, taking a vision into several incarnations. My exhibit page shows the current shows I've participated in locally. I am interested in national and international representation. I do not think of myself as a regional artist.
As a photographer, both still
imagery and video work is ongoing. I tend to notice the abstract. I've been photographing since I was given my first kodak. I still prefer SLR's and
100 ASA film, but use digital. It's all good.
I also create graphics and multimedia.
