Live art has an energy that reproductions lack. Not only are the textures and painterly effects flattened, simply absent, the color is not blended with the eye like live paint. There is no getting around it ! While painting is termed 2D, it's a misnomer in this respect. I suggest art in home and office be periodically changed, as it keeps appreciation keen and the environment stimulating. Another benefit is that, like a compelling piece of literature, when you unwrap and re-reread a painting you may well see it differently, a nuance previously overlooked is likely to present. One's attention is always piqued and a favored work of art is seen fresh.
